What about the evident color-inconsistency of that SD-1? THAT would throw me off big time (but I'm no AF, auto, what not shooter anyway...)

That's true. Workaround like this must be annoying for MF lens users:

But for Sigma AF lenses, it may not be a big problem.

the workaround for no vf is what throws me. but the quality of the merrill files is undeniable.
