I think we can agree lenses are sharp in spite of their mount :p but "M42 lenses" being a placeholder for "roughly 10 year period around 1960s where most things were in this mount", is fair enough.

Soviet lenses. The machining can be crud on some. Two of them sliced my finger real good.
