What? Me worry?
Picked up a copy of the subject lens. It was an eBay deal at circa fifteen bucks (includes shipping).
There is a little dust but no fungus; a very small nick out of the front ring, as well. Not scary, though.
Overall I'm happy, except there is this one teensy qualm:
I don't know this lens so it might be normal. But when I shake this thing, in certain positions anyway, it rattles. There is nothing visible moving around. It's inside. Is this normal? |

Yes, it rattles a tiny bit. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |

Thank you, guys. That puts me much more at ease.
Only remaining thought: My lens rattles more like a couple of hard peas in a tin can. It's not what I would describe as a "little bit". Still, I suspect now it might be OK. Thanks! |

Hi!
I have one, and it appears to be in good shape. It doesn't rattle. There is a sound I would call a tiny "thunk" if I shake it vigorously, but otherwise there's no sound at all.

I can buy use of the term "thunk", instead of rattle. But I can't buy "tiny" for mine. I have a noticeable thunk or rattle. Regardless, appreciate the reply. Thank you! |
