Hi !
I got an Edixa Reflex camera for cheap.
When I received it, I had to admit it was really in very bad condition...
Yes, it's a wreck !
But I don't care as... I wanted the lens ; a Schneider Kreuznach Edixa Xenar 2.8/50 of a different type than the one I already have.
Its serial number seems to indicate that it is younger than my zebra one.
I had difficulties to unmount the lens from the cam. I had to remove the A/M pin.
Here they are side by side (wreck's on the left):
Rings setting are inversed
both have 5 blades' diaph
The A/M switch is different
Here are some samples taken with this wreck's lens :
1- f2.8
2- f5.6
3- f2.8
4- f5.6
5- f2.8
6- f2.8
7- f5.6
8- f8
9- f2.8
Some crops :
Not bad for a wreck. _________________ Olivier - Moderator

Thank you Mo.
Yes, it's stunning and I'm happy to have done this bargain.
Keysersoze, there are differences in weight and dimensions : the older (zebra) one is heavier and bigger.
The rotation of the aperture and focusing rings are opposite. Look at the first picture.
The zebra one has a red dof scaling ring which is not on the earlier one. When you set the aperture, the red of the dof ring becomes translucid and represent the min and max focusing range.
The A/M systems are different as it is a pin on the earlier one, a wheel system on the older one. Look picture #3.
I tried both this afternoon to compare Image Quality.
They have the same design and give the same kind of photos in term of bokeh and global image quality.
It seems to me that the zebra one gives a little bit warmer pictures, but very subtle.
For instance : first = zebra.
Notice that sun was moving fast and light changed... sorry.
Another point : I didn't use same adaptor ring and one better focuses than the other. Interesting to make these trials to view these points.
The latter one with the earlier lens, at f5.6 :

This looks like a sweet little lens! I'm trying to see if there is a way to mount this lens from my Diax iia to a Ricoh RXR A12 M-mount camera.
