I bought this on ebay.

SCHACHT TRAVEGAR 100M 3.8 http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-SCHACHT-TRAVEGAR-100M-3-8-PORTRAIT-LENS-IN-OB-W-CAP-THREADED-MOUNT-/371324014799?ssPageName=ADME%3AL%3ACOSI%3AUS%3A1123&nma=true&si=c%252FJyAMmoylaguMITOYy42ESWipI%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Anyone have any information on this? Do I need a helicoid? or can I use it with my Travenar A.Schacht ULM 135MM F3.5 if I un screw it?

Thanks

As far as I know, it has M39 mount which is common standard on enlargers.

When I google a image of it, it looks much longer than this unit does. Of course we will see when it comes.

Looks like an enlarger lens or bellows head. You might need a helicoid for focusing.

Description says the mount is larger than M42. Might need a step-down ring to mate with a common fixture.

The title say it is a F3.8 lens but it is actually a F3.3 lens. Wink

I think there may be a retaining ring attached to the lens. The M39 threads will reveal after unscrewing the ring.

That is the same as the one I have - which is pictured in your other recent Schacht topic - which is a two part lens. The rear part has no optics but has the helicoid. It is 54mm long closed and 70mm long open - that's mounting face to mounting face. M42 camera end and M39 to mount the optic.
That's the complete lens, you have a bit missing.

Very possibly. Quite a few Ebay sellers don't really know what it is they are selling. Another aspect of the 'crap shoot'. Of course, it occasionally provides an opportunity to make a great deal.

I think it has an adapter ring on it already, the silver ring with the thread, the original thread is M39. At least mine is, it screws in to a zorki body.
This is the lens in its two parts.
