First quick shots with Rodenstock-Splendar 2.8/100 in a rainy day show sharpness and clarity of the lens rendering. Good both at infinity and in close range. A fellow photographer at flickr states (and shows) this is also a lens capable to produce bubble bokeh.

The lens comes from the realm of 35mm slide projectors, an alu body version.

Sony Nex, Chinese helicoid, exposure/contrast tweaks.

To make it more interesting, here are some shots taken in similar light conditions with an unknown Supercontrast Inovar Anastigmat 90mm (yes, "Supercontrast" makes part of the lens name). It comes from the same realm of 35mm slide projectors. One might say, well, the unknown "Supercontrast" Inovar must be a joke. Well, this is not. The lens is really sharp and contrasty. And corners are less soft than usual triplets have. Quite interesting.

Samples are tweaked in respect with exposure/contrast. Always Sony Nex.

Thank you! And looking at the modest external aspect of the lens you'd never say it might be something special.

I left the foam used to insert it to the helicoid, so the aspect is not very well presented. But it is a small plastic "zebra", nothing more sumptuous.
