Most welcome. I certainly like the included detailed lens drawings.

Me too!

MANY thanks for this very interesting information, I'll do a print out of a Flektogon drawing for my office, it's most exciting to have a view on from time to time!

The first three load but not the others? Perhaps my connection is too slow?

No problem for me. You could right click the link and select 'save as' if it don't open the file with a direct click.

Good to see that my scans, from the "Technische Reperaturunterlage für TOTO - OBJECTIVE", that I posted years ago for the benefit of the Carl Zeiss Jena users community, are listed here.
But I find it strange to see they are listed here as 'Rick Oleson's original Carl Zeiss Jena Lens Repair Manuals'.

The manuals are Rick's only in the sense that they are located at his website. Rick Oleson makes no claim in any way that they are "his." They are found at the very bottom of this page, which contains a huge amount of other stuff:

Welcome Lucas de Boer

Nice to see you here. Thank you so much for the proper identification and original source! I hope there is no problem sharing your scans now they are properly remarked. Very Happy

Great that you scanned them once and made them available. Thank you for your effort then.
I found them on Rick's site long ago.

Never mind.
It was just that it was called 'Rick Oleson's original Carl Zeiss Jena Lens Repair Manuals'.
But now that you explained what happened, it's alright with me.
Hope that these scans are useful for you all to repair your (old) CZJ lenses, because that’s the reason why I made them and posted them.

But there is more, if someone is interested.
I also have the original 'Reparaturanleitung' (repair manual) from 'kombinat VEB Pentacon Dresden (1979)', for the following lenses:
prakticar 2,4/50
prakticar 2,8/28
prakticar 1,8/50
prakticar 2,8/135
Pentacon electric und auto 4/200
Pentacon 4/200
There are lens drawings, exploded views, part numbers and ‘how to’ descriptions, for everything related to repairing these lenses (but all is in German!).
If there is interest, I can scan this repair manual and post the scans here.
But it will take some time, because there are a lot of pages.

Well, thanks!

Please, in the same spirit, which I believe is shared by everybody, I invite you to create another thread with a correct Subject line; include whatever you'd like to add. Smile

Does anyone have earlier CZJ manuals, especially with the Pancolar 2/50 exploded views of both the Exakta and M42? I have the one from the above links, but want to chase up the one that (if it exists) has the Rechng 05.10.54 written on it. I may be asking for the impossible but if anyone has any idea on where I may look,it will be appreciated.

Would/could you please upload them so we readers have access to them?
