So a few years ago I bought a yongnuo yn4600 flash. Great stuff, simple to use, superb performance.

I am looking into buying one with TTL for my canon 1100d but I am really confused with compatibility.

Say the yn560 IV for example. On ebay some sellers say it is compatible with my camera, some say it is compatible with all canon cameras, some say it is compatible with canons, nikon and pentaxes.

Are all the YN560-IV the same, or are they available with different compatibility options?

560 IV is not a TTL flash. You will need a YN-565EX II or YN600EX-RT for TTL flash photography.
