Porst Color Reflex MC auto 50mm f/1.7.

Any good? Any worries or things one should look out for? I've tried googling, but all I've come up is a page on m42.artlimited.net which is of limited use. And foremost, can it be used with a adapter on EOS cameras? I don't understand why not, but then again, I'm a noob.

And hi to all. I'm new on the forum. Smile

I had one, quite soft wide open. For me: not a keeper lens. It works well with EOS.

Crop camera yes, I think rear hits mirror on FF. Don't remember, sold mine year(s) ago. There are many versions from different manufacturers?

Ok, thanks guys. I bought one nonetheless, so we'll see how it goes.

I used to have one but I sold it because the focus mechanism was a bit loose.

Not a bad lens however. Indeed soft wide open but not really more than other typical standard lenses. Stopped down was actually pretty good. Very small and good for portraits if used on a crop camera.

The loCAs were quite heavy as far as I can remember.
