Note: This is an AF lens, but these photos were taken in MF mode.

An anise flower. Post processing included green reduction (it was very green) and yellow correction to eliminate the flower as a hot spot.

Boeing 737 wing. Post processing included contrast enhancement.

Sunset over the Pacific Ocean from 25,000 feet, descending to SFO. Post processing included tone balancing.

In sum, this lens has a LIMITED range. In overcast lighting, the lens does not capture detail and suffers from serious color aberrations. Under ideal conditions, it does acceptably well, but still exhibits minor aberrations. It also distorts cooler colors much less than warmer colors.

In terms of focus, the focus is generally softer on AF mode than MF. Given sufficient care, the focus can work, but this is not the sharpest lens I own. Actually, it may be the least sharp.
