I have one of these lenses.. in out forum gallery it is shown as:
http://www.mflenses.com/gallery/v/lensgallery/japanese/chinon/chinon_135mm_f2_8.jpg.html
but mine looks exactly like this one
http://www.wholesaledigital.co.za/chinon135f2.8.htm
Are there two varieties (which look completely different) or?
And what's with the red ring on 'our' example, as I've seen that on Canon L series, (d'uh) Tokina and even Makinon, but never so far on a Chinon?
Any help appreciated!

I've seen many different versions of the Chinon 135/2.8, but not one with the red ring...is that the correct picture I wonder? _________________ Graham - Moderator

The first one, with the red ring, looks to be a bayonet mount - probably a later lens. The other is M42. _________________ Regards,

Yes.. I have three versions of the Chinon, but none resemble the red ring version.. I have M42, K Mount (which came with a Ricoh) and Canon FD - all subtly different but nothing like the red ring one!

I have one sitting in the back of my cupboard with a Chinon CX and a 50/1.7.
It has no red ring.
Is it possible to get some sort of an adapter for this too !
It`s a screwmount .Sorry for my ignorance but I`m not sure what type. _________________ M3DW.
