I was browsing KEH earlier and saw they have a bargain condition CZ 35-70/3.4 for $189. I would have preferred the cheaper UG condition as I don't really care how the exterior looks like, but this is rarely available lately, either KEH, various forums or the 'bay. My CC took another hit Sad
And, looks like I will be listing a few lens for sale soon.

I heard this is better than many primes, including Zeiss' own primes, but only at certain apertures. I would really appreciate those who have use this share their experience. Thanks.

Yeah, It's great and you made a good deal.
Orio and Poilu both have nice samples from this lens.

you can browse this site and find out about apertures and compare with primes
this lens doesn't open as prime so the bokeh is not the best one
it give superb colors and details
the macro mode (1:2) can be useful
