I have searched for info on this lens. Apparently it is called the "fantastic plastic" ? Is it a good deal at €75 aka $ 83 ? For AFAIK the additional 1:1 set-up lens is missing ... advantage for me: it is a Canon FD mount, I have the adapter ...
Wonder if the optics are clean .. ??? any opinions ... just by guessing

Never heard of it.
Put few more dollars on top of those $83 and look for a Panagor 90/2.8. That's a good lens. _________________ Moderator Himself |

IMHO it's a lens with good optics, relative modern coating, and lightweight. The build maybe leave a bit to be desired. But it deserves to be called "Plastic Fantastic".
I guess the OP knows about the quality of this lens, just was not sure about this particular example. I don't think any one can answer the question. If it's me, I'd wait for a different copy. _________________ Sharpness from lenses; Softness from me.

Coffee grinder? Never had it, all people say "very nice optics but the 1:1 adaptor got lost", package is well, plastic and grinding (AF version).
Personally I'd give you E15 for it but then I already own 1:2 and 1:1 AF lenses (bought for less). Oh wait Canon FD..well maybe E0.15 |

It seems this lens trades for 60..70 .. 1:1 included in one case.

Manual focusing on the AF version has almost no damping, no good for macro. _________________ Sharpness from lenses; Softness from me.

Thanks everyone for your help.
As I was going to use it on a Sony A6000, any "auto" version is not very useful
(I already have a Canon FD and a Minolta MD adapter to NEX, I want to avoid having to start an adapter collection as well ... hence ...)
BTW .. I'm in Europe, very much to my regret, it is a PITA buying material like on e-bay ... the taxes and import duties raise the price with about 35% on average. So a "bargain price" found on e-bay may turn into an "expensive purchase" ... bummer ! |
