Is this the PB version? Is it made in Japan? Thanks!

This one is made in G.D.R. and is a "convertible" version.

It has the exchangable end tube which either holds a M42 mount or P6 mount (not sure if there has been an PB-mount tube available, too).

I guess you are asking this because of the name "Prakticar" which usually connects to PB, or?

Sounds like a rare one! Yes, I ask as several "Made in Japan" lenses were branded Prakticar, but this is the real deal Smile

It seems to give you good results, great work!

This is one is GDR version -- I have got the same lens -- unfortunately on surgery table but lens really shows its strength..!!

IT's a very heavy lens! Smile

Weight is around 3,5kg ... the lens, not that cat (that's 9kg)

Laughing This lens a rocket launcher I had it too with M42 mount Pentacon 500mm f5.6 people who use it hand held looks like Rambo Laughing
