Lucky enough, there was a blown glass demonstration in one of the local shop.

#14 is brilliant And the pig shot shows that you can still get tasteful bokeh with the more modern version of this lens. And the cat looks really great! _________________ Graham - Moderator

I assume you mean Prakticar. Well, at least more stable one. It's certainly more resistant to cleaning with ammonia solution then good old Pentacon M42. I guess more Zeiss Jena formula. _________________ ---------------------------------

Enjoy it! There are few who went on a quest for better lens but at the end return to Meyer / Pentacon 135mm.
If you like shooting wide-open there is no need for buying expensive preset version. _________________ ---------------------------------

I'm patiently waiting for my Vivitar 135mm f2.8 MC from the bay. I'll probably end up using both ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) _________________ Body : Canon 5d Mark II, Canon 50d

My Meyer 135mm is a VG lens but inconvenient for general use when I can have auto wide open on a film camera......so my CZJ 135mm Sonnar is used (well until I find a better one going cheap ) _________________ Canon A1, AV1, T70 & T90, EOS 300 and EOS300v, Chinon CE and CP-7M.
