Hi.

Wich price will people accept to pay for it ?
From this price, you can fix what direct cost is needed for each pice, such as raw materials, production costs, direct labour, sales commissions.
Then, how much is left by the sales price minus the direct costs.
After that, you'll see how many pieces to sell to pay other costs and left you a benefit.

That being done, you could begin small by selling to people around you and by opening an e-bay shop.
Surely some people here would be interested in buying you one directly.

What's important is to begin.
You have to think about it, bit not too much and not too long.
Think well and act quickly with little actiosnwich will bring little victories and motivate you for further bigger actions.

I believe in you, go on ! Smile

Dear friend ,
First I want to thank you for your precious advises .
For the moment , I am trying to make a Site for this construction . About the final cost I have thought of various ways to minimise it , or spread it over the time . For example , the rail is of the 15$ brand on the e-bay ( modified of course ) , and most of us have already more than one on our shelf . So , if one can modify his own ( which sometimes is much better than the one I provide ) he doesn't have to buy it . Also the bellows . It's easy for many of us make one that works . So , what remains is the brackets ( standards ). But here I MUST TELL THAT THE THING CAN WORK WITH ONLY ONE STANDARD !!! This means that a handy DIYer can make his own bellows , put his own rail , make a plastic or plywood plate for the camera and buy ONLY ONE STANDARD to build his own system for ONLY 150 euro .
Later on , one can add a second standard for more versatility etc . I think that cheaper than this .....
Of course in the site I will provide full description of these operations , that will make the building an easy but exciting experience .
Have a nice day and thank you for your time spent .

I'm no expert, but I think there are 2 sorts of customers for this.

The kind of people who post here would be interested in a DIY kit, only buying the bits they need.

But I think there must be some product photographers/food photographers who would like to buy a more finished product, and they'd be willing to pay for it.

In any case, good luck!

Hi, jjphoto .
Thanks for the comment and congrats for your site . The thing is scary , yes , because of the really deep hood , but a single coated Mir
really needs it . Of course one can't use it when shooting 6X6 film , but when used on APS-C the Mir 26b is a short tele . Tilting the hood as well is necessary when the lens is tilted .

Have you thought about adapting a 6x6 or 6x4.5 film back to it, instead of the digital camera? Of course you would need to have a focusing screen there, like a normal view camera.

Hi jjphoto ,
What a coincidence . It was early this morning I was looking for an " Iskra " or " Moscva " or something like this at the flea market . My purpose was to use the body as a back for the machine . The lens also can be used the ordinary way . I don't think it will be difficult to assemble the whole thing on my machine , and it will be the world's first conversion from " dSLR to view Cam Conversion " to a real View Cam .
Good shots .

That's a great setup. Are the parts custom-machined or bought?

I should show you my Canon DSLR digital back for Fuji GX680!

Hi ,
I machined the parts myself from stock bar , except of the fastening knobs and the rail , as you can find a great variety of them for cheap .

Great Work! What about a Crowdfunding Project like
Kickstarter? So you could produce it for
a good Price and in the Same way you would get
some Promotion.

PostPosted: Sat Mar 08, 2014 7:31 am    Post subject: Reply with quote

Hi Sam ,
Thank you for your comment and suggestion . I don't know much about crowdfunding projects but I suppose I'd have to reward the people supporting me , but as the camera can be sold for not less than 400 euros , how can I reward people that sent me for example
10 euros ? It,s a problem .
Anyway here are some more fotos shot with "Geometry" . These are a lot of 4 electric guitars designed and hand crafted by me .
