Plastic Fantastic End To 2016

Happy new year guys, was hoping to beg out a bit today but got dragged into town earlier as my partner wanted a phone upgrade. So whilst she was sorting it out, I trolled the local charity shops and came up trumps.

For the bargain price of 12GBP I got myself a boxed Cosina 100mm f3.5 macro with the matched supplementary lens for 1/1. Cosmetically it is mint, optically it is mint and mechanically everything works perfectly although the focus is smooth it is very slightly gritty. It's the older MF version, the original 'plastic fantastic', in PK-A/R mount.

Unfortunately I cannot use this lens, so i will probably put it on the bay later as I have a plethora of good macro's, and it will help fund other purchases.

I do however have a question about compatability with Pentax DSLR mounts, am I right in thinking that the only mod needed would be to remove the three small screws and take out the flange, or is there more to it than that?

If it has the flange - shroud thing then it usually can be removed easily or just cut down - I think it's the same as the Ricoh lenses.

It would fit my Pentax K10 very nicely Wink
