I got interested in CCD-sensors a couple of weeks ago and decided to get a Pentax K10D. Last week, I added a Pentax SMC-A 50mm f/1.2 lens to pair it with.

Here's one of the first photos that I'm satisfied with. Withered yarrow on top of IKEA's rooftop terrace in Copenhagen.

The combination of the 10D & the 50mm 1.2 seems to often produce impressionistic-style photos out of the box.

Yes, that's one of the joys of photography - especially with a fast lens. "Selective reality" is a term that comes to my mind.
That's a beautiful shot.

In addition to image quality, I've always enjoyed the ergonomics of my own K10D.

Thank you Smile

'Selective reality' - I like the term.

Perhaps we should do a thread or an exhibition in a digital format with this at a title.

Agree regarding the ergonomics. I got the istD, K5 & K1 in addition to the 10D. Its weight and size strike a very nice balance - especially partnered with a heavy lens (Zeiss 35mm f/2 works very well; I find this easier to focus with than the 50mm 1.2).
