I've been thinking about what lenses were produced in the B mount by Pentacon and Zeiss (I'm not interesting in the Cosina, Sigma and Samyang fakes) and it seems to me a very restricted range:
Pentacon
2.8/28
2.4/50
1.8/50
2.8/135
Is that it? Just those four? I can't think of another, I have copies of these four.
Zeiss
Flektogon 2.8/20
Flektogon 2.4/35
Tessar 2.8/50
Macro Tessar 2.8/55
Pancolar 1.8/50
Pancolar 1.4/50
Pancolar 1.8/80
Sonnar 3.5/135
Vario-Pancolar 2.7-3.5/35-70
Vario-Pancolar 4/80-200
I'm sure I've missed a Zeiss or too, maybe the 2.8/180 also exists in B mount? I know some others are mentioned as being made in B mount, but I've never seen them, so I just listed the Zeiss I have actually seen. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

B mount is the one from these 1980s prakticas ?
Not the m42 electric (3 plugs) mount
I think I have seen a Prakticar 300/4 in this mount. I remember because I hated the fact it was not m42. I also remember asking whether the mount could be swapped but no answer :< |

There is indeed a 2.8/200 mm Prakticar, however it is extremely rare, just like the 2.4/28 mm.
And of course there is a 4/300 mm Prakticar, which is common enough. |

I believe it's a new design. The Sonnar 300/4 is a medium format lens; the Prakticar covers 35mm sensor only, and is a much smaller lens, and has its rear element much closer to film plane, so definitely a different design. _________________ List of lenses |

A bit messed up in the above table:
The second and the third versions of 50/1.8 are PENTACON made, and
the only first version is CZJ made (ie. Pancolar)
The first version of 50/1.4 is CZJ made, and the second version is PENTACON made.
Macro Tessar 2.8/55 is a wrong name, it is called Macro Prakticar 2.8/55.
It is a modified double Gauss type, more like (to me) Makro-Plazmat design.
There was PENTACON made zoom Prakitcar 3.5-4.8/35-70, 50 were made,
also 100 were made for M42 mount.
Officially 5.6/1000 (CZJ) and 5.6/500 (PENTACON) are counted as B-mount ones,
also 2.8/200 and 4/300 Prakticars are made by CZJ.
4/300, 5.6/500, and 5.6/1000 all have replaceable mounts, B-mount is one of them.
I am not sure about that there was P6, M42, and some other mounts available.
The most of them except 5.6/1000 >
