When I say which one, I mean as far as I know with the pentacon name plate, in M42 at least, there was a;
-Zebra looking one
-Green distance scale font plastic looking one.
Or have I confused this auto/man switch swith a Tessar DDR that might have been similar?
From what I remember the "Zebra" looking one had that button the side where one could stop down the aperture manually, and i just have a feeling that the other one had that switch... but I kinda remember taking one apart and adjusting the aperture control so it was always depressed? Maybe that was a DDR Tessar?

Interesting. My Pentacon 2.8/100 has a similar zebra style. On the side it has an little switch to depress or release
the aperture pin and then it has the rectangular shaped button to close down the aperture blades. Mine however
is with an Exakta bayonet mount. |

because it was right at the back of the lens however, mounting it on my pentax dslr used to mean the button would rub against the k-mount locking pin or digital contacts or something.. and it used to stay in the direction it was pressed |

Yes I enjoyed the lens when I last had it, So looking forward to playing with it once more..

It looks kind of nice though. I have a couple I got with lenses I was buying. I should put a roll of film through
one. Last time I checked the light meter was still working. I could take it out with all my Pentacon lenses.
BTW, does ASA 100 = ISO 100? |

I used an MTL3 as well not so long ago, some results with a Pentacon lens on a short tube, lots of grain, very expired Ilford film:
