Hi

I bought a pentacon 500mm 5.6 for 50 uero.
looked great in daylight, now at home i see that there are allot of cleaning scratches on the front. ( looks like sand papered off butt very light).
and some starting fungus in the lens itself.

for the rest the lens has been well preserved in its original box, no paint loss or other.

are there any tricks for opening this beast? or any other things i should take in mind ?

Thanks

P.s found allot of info on this lens, only mine looks a bit differed. the focusing ring is different.

Use any description what you find from an east German lens , logic basically same on all, buy first a cheap several EURO priced lens like an 50mm Pentacon , get practice and start after on big one.
