Can anyone advice how does the Pentacon 4/200 perform (at full aperture and in low light)? How much would you pay for such a lens in good condition?

Full aperture is no problem for it, sharp enough. Low light? It is F4.0 and this is the limit.
Search for preset version since multiple blades. Later auto versions have better coating but beware of stuck aperture that is quite frequent.
Preset can still be found for 40 EUR, MC for less. If you don't require preset, then you might consider Jupiter 4/200.

The 200 / 4 is a great lens, the Pentagon and Meyer Optik Gorlitz are the same lens ( I've made a good one out of one of each Shocked ) It is a big, heavy and slow old thing, but the results are worth putting up with that.

What is the difference between preset and auto version? And can the lens be mounted on a tripod head directly if too heavy?
