I took my Alfa 500 with a Pentacon 2.8/135 to the harbour of an ancient fisherstown for some details. The sun obviously had a day off and therefor, the light was suitable for anything except photography. Ideal conditions for the piece of old DDR-glass.

Nice images. It looks like the later type and not the early preset version?

Very nice pictures! Which town was it?

Very nice. Any chance of seeing some wider angles of this lovely old harbour?

I find the lower contrast of Pentacons very attractive sometimes, maybe they are suited to dull light. I'm just longing for a nice sunny day and being able to catch up with work outside right now. Smile

We have a winner, it is Elburg Very Happy

@Martinsmith99: The Pentacon 2.8/135 is a later type indeed and it paints good backgrounds with only 6 apertureblades. The difference with our Orestor is not as much as i expected.

My experience is same blade number is no matter.

Time to visit there again Very Happy

On the topic of harbours, I visited Schiedam last year with Kodak BW400CN and a Sonnar 135/3.5:

(not posting the picture directly, since I don't want to "steal" your topic Wink )

Well done! How did you know? I visited Monnickendam once and it looks similar from the little I can see.

It can be found out by the numbers on the boats. The one on the third picture starts with 'EB' for Elburg. Every fisherstown has it's own combination, for example Urk has UK and IJmuiden has YM.

Yes, I should have noticed that, of course ...

Not only the ID numbers of the boats, but a label of a sailmaker was an extra hint for me.
