I'm sorry about the lousy picture, I had to process extensively and the lighting was done with a flashlight...

My Kiwifotos adapter does not engage the aperture lever of the lenses. With the 25/4 lens I have been able to activate the aperture mechanism by jamming the aperture lever with a bit of cardboard (you can see the slot in the picture).

The 42/1.2 and the 60/1.5 are different as you can see. The aperture lever is attached to a rotating disc so the cardboard method is not applicable. How have you solved this problem? A different adapter or have you found a way to jam the rotating disc?

I am sure you need a better adapter that engages the aperture lever:

the first adapter I had bought from seller 'bondscamera' was way too tight. Even though it had a pin to engage the aperture lever the lens could not be turned enough inside the adapter, did not lock and the aperture lever got not engaged. I sanded it down to make my first Pen-F lens fit to later find out that another Pen-F lens now would fit too loose. Pen-F lenses seem not to have a consistent mount but two variations. That can also be seen by not every back caps locking into every lens.

I got a new Pen-F to E mount adapter from seller 'adplo' which fits all my Pen-F lenses well engaging their aperture lever

btw. I really envy you for the 1.5/65, also for the 1.2/42. They have become so very rare and expensive!

I ordered an "adplo" adapter and I will let you know how it works out. The prices of these lenses are getting insane. I thought I paid way too much for my samples but now I feel I was lucky to get them at all.

Problem solved, got a "Pixco Penf-NEX" adapter which allows full aperture control. Focuses beyond infinity. It is a bit heavier than the Kiwifotos. Seems to work well.
