May be most useful for some lens that no filter mount on the front.

Unfortunately they don't (yet ?) provide M42 lens mount

At those prices I'd just tape a decent filter to the front of a lens without a filter thread. And I can't think of any of the 200 or so lenses that I've got that hasn't got a filter thread, and I haven't got step rings and filters I can make fit.
About the only reason I can see to buy this system is if you have a lot of lenses with large filter threads.

A good M42 to EOS adapter should do the trick.
