Hi,
which of the two Orestor lenses, the 100mm f2.8 and the 135 f2.8, is in your opinion better in terms of sharpness WO, overall sharpness and artistic rendering?

Thanks.

I would say, that 100/2.8 is sharper across the frame and have less CA.

Sony A7+Pentacon/Orestor 100/2.8 wide open:

A 100mm lens always sharper than a 135mm from same maker, but sharpness is not all. 135mm f2.8 has own charm , famous bokeh monster and well deserve this nick name.

The 135mm is a very good lens, the 100mm better.

Not sure we can generalize that statement. Nikon's sharpest lenses are in the telephoto range.

Thanks woodrim. I think I will go for the 100mm. It is a bit more expensive, but on the other hand it is smaller, lighter and I was looking anyway for a tele lens around the 100mm focal lens.
Cheers.

100mm for me, very happy with it. Quite nice bokeh too!

They both great lenses and have their own charm. If you go for the 100mm I'd avoid the 6 blade Auto lens and go for the 14 blade version. If you always shoot wide open, then those six blades won't matter and you'll have a bit of money left from the purchase!

Oh, and that's a 15 blade 135mm Pentacon version in my profile image!
