1st patent is an M43 adapter that have an internal wide angle lens which can do the following:
it will half the original focal length of the legacy lens, then when used on M43 for the 2x focal length, the result will be exactly 1x the original legacy lens focal length.
2nd patent is to add an electronic contect to the adapter above which will somehow uses the SWD to control auto focus. |
Don't know how the glass inside will degrade the performance of the MF lens. In theory it will work, but wouldn't it be just easier to design a FF camera in a GF-1 or E-P1 footprint _________________ Wilson

I'm fairly sure the first Nikon/Kodak digital cameras (which used a reworked Nikon film body and a really small sensor, 2x crop or more) had a similar lens system inside to make the focal length the same, cancelling out the crop factor.
But then, patents don't seem to have to make sense, be original, or take any notice of prior art, it seems. They are just used as trading chips between companies. _________________ Camera (ˈkæ mə rə), n. Device for taking pictures in bright light
