The camera body finally arrived back from the seller who replaced everything on the inside:
mirror/frame, meter, new wiring, shutter. He warned not to ever use an alcohol or ammonia-based
cleaner on the mirror, removes the silvering handily to where he had to replace it. Recommends
contacts cleaner, the kind that removes protein.

I originally paid $105 for the body, and now it's like new.

Attila, thanks, I had an all-black OM-2n set that I sold to a friend (he paid a
nice price) but decided to replace it. Wink Love the compactness of the
body and lenses.

I'm looking for the 85/2. I could ask Jussi to send me his, but don't
think he would. Laughing

The MC version is probably not an easy one to find.

Strangely enough, I found a very nice OM-1, with Zuiko 50 / 1.4, Hoya 24 / 2.8 and a Tamron 85-210 / 4.5 in a charity shop today. I think that all it needs is light seals and it'll be just about 'excellent' condition.
It's the first Olympus SLR that I've even used, let alone own, and I'm loving it already The test film is going to be processed tomorrow.

I'm guessing the N version is newer and better, it certainly looks nice in black. And fully serviced will make it a real pleasure. Cool

Lloyd, I'm late, but congrats on the OM-1! Looking forward to your work with it.

Hope to run a roll through mine in a few days, thanks.
