You're right about Poles and their work ethic, I worked in a factory with over 200 of them, they worked so much better, harder and with less complaint than the English, and didn't pull sickies all the time. They are good people in my book.

Not all Polish people want to be in the UK.......When I used to bump into my son's young female Polish child carer, we used to talk about things and she couldn't stand London ( Shocked I thought young people liked London) and was very patriotic and loved Poland and esp liked to talk about the countryside, if she makes plenty of money here I would think she will be going back. Rolling Eyes

Yes, I know many of them would prefer to be at home, they miss their families of course, but they had to come here to find work. The Polish economy has picked up a bit in the last 2 years and quite a few have gone home.

...and the Slovaks too. I am training mostly Hungarians and Czechs now. Mostly because the agency can charge them for getting them the job which is illegal in most other countries including the UK.

I dont think the nanny is moaning about money. None of them moan about the money. But some people always complain.
