Help! I'm getting sucked back into hi-fi, got the turntable working and oh does the music come out relaxed and human... can't say the sound is better, but it's just less... insistent, busy, hashy... kind of like vintage lenses vs. contemporary...

In an attempt to fight this (I'm learning about aftermarket phono styli...) I decided to photograph the Shure V15vmr with the Macro-Takumar 50/4 preset lens.

I kind of like the comparison of vinyl and CDs rsp. of MF and AF and have used it myself. It fits quite well.
