I've been backing away from the MF lens collecting hobby recently because prices have been bat-crap crazy.

Now it's happening with adapters, too!!

Everybody recognizes need for TX (or T4) adapters. These are not available new from China AFAIK, so we are limited to genuine ones already in circulation.

This is the highest price I've seen for a TX adapter actually bid. Sure, in the past there have been asking prices this high. Nobody cares about asking prices, or attaches much importance to them. But this TX adapter is being bid very high, and the bidding still has a couple more days to run:

For the seller: His lucky day. This is nuts. Sad

M42 - that's always going to be popular, I would like that as I'm not keen on the Olympus OM mount on my Vivitar 90-230, it's very easy to catch the lens release button on OM lenses mounted on an adapter to the Sony. I have had one lens fall off occidentally.
My Soligor 55-135 is M42 and stays solid, I have done a simple, non destructive, modification to use the Soligor TX mount on the Vivitar, but it's still something that would be better with the correct adapter.

I've just seen that the seller selling the adapter also has a Vivitar lens -

Listing includes:
Vivitar 135mm f/2.5 lens in TX mount (needs adapter to fit on a camera)

Excellent spot!

Yup, I used to buy lenses all the time solely to obtain the included adapter which was just sitting there quietly, waiting to be harvested!!

Things have changed. It's not as much fun now.

I wish the Chinese realized how badly we need certain adapters.
