This is the fascinating Rollei 35S from my in-laws. They have shot hundreds of excellent slides with it on their travels through half the world.
Unfortunately, after some decades, the Rollei stopped working. My in-laws asked me if I could do something.
The meter is out of order, the lens release mechanism was not working and the shutter button was missing.
I was not able to fix the meter, but I got the lens mechanism working again and I DIY'ed a replacement shutter button from a broken cable release. The cam seems to work fine now.
