I liked this crop from a running nose Smile

100% crop from istDs file. Taken with SMC Takumar 85/1.8@F4.

neat. you know i am always surprised by the nice renditions members here get from the ist*, i mean its only 6mp right? but the shots i see in this forum are very pleasing to me. must be a nice camera to have. what are the circumstances that compel you to use it over your k20d, just a change of pace, or something else you get from it?

The 6 Mpix Sony CCD sensor in it is really nice, 6 Mpixels is usually enough for my use. Nothing really compels me to use it over K20d, but I usually grap it with me with some MF-lens on it, as it's a lot smaller than the big bother. It also works some what better with MF-lenses and has a better focusing screen.

Also when I'm planning to use some MF lens with a flash I grab the istDS, as you can use TTL-flash with any lens and aperture with it.
