I've just bought a nex-3. I have a lot of manual focus lens: pentax K, M42, Oly OM, Nikon and some beautiful canon LTM (35, 50, 85, 100 and 135) and i would to continue to use them not only on film cameras; studying this section i realized that nex is maybe the better choice for me (i have also pentax DSRLs, but they are not able to mount LTM or OM lens). Now i'm waiting that adapters bought on the bay arrive to start to test my lens.
I've a pair of questions: i've noted this evening that when i shot with speeds up 1/2 second i ear two shots in rapid succession, but i found only one shot recorded. It's normal? This morning i haven't noted this.
Second question: how do you set the camera (sharpness, contrast etc)?
Thanks in advance |

What you hear is normal, but these are not two shots. It's one shot, NEX operates differently to DSLR. First the shutter closes priming for exposure, then opens for the exposure, then closes again to read the picture, then opens again to continue live view. Thus it sounds as if it takes two pictures. _________________ Many lenses and some film bodies for sale here: http://forum.mflenses.com/canon-fd-minolta-md-c-mounts-m42-pentax-and-more-t50465.html

that depends of the situation
I recently discovered that the B/W setting is very good . _________________ Cheers , Teo

Please, tell me how do you use 0, 2 or 3 color, contrast or sharpness. I can't find the controls to do that. |

Edited :
Press the center button ,then the round wheel around the center button : press it on the left side (towards the screen )until you see on the left side of the screen the modes (Vivid,Portrait,BW,etc). If there are the ISO values ,press again and again until the modes appear(hope I remember well , I don't have the camera with me). On the bottom of the screen you'll see that for settings you have to press the small round button near the right low corner of the screen .Then you'll see on bottom of the screen (if I remember well) three icons : contrast , color, sharpness . select one by pressing left/right the wheel ,then adjust the value for the parameter by pressing up/down until you obtain the value desired (+1,+2,+3 or -1 ,etc). Then you select the next parameter.
Hope this helps , if I remembered well .If this doesn't works , let me know , to check on the camera.[/i] _________________ Cheers , Teo

Yessssssssssssss !!!!!
General use : Contrast +1; Saturation 0; sharpness +1.
For portrait that I like to do, contrast 0; Saturation -2 (or -1) and sharpness +1.
Very nice to me.
In order to keep the character of my minolta lenses, use the same parameters with my MC PG 1,4 and MD rokkor 2,8/135 lens.
And....thanks again!!!! |
