There is no negative-index material when I learn Physics in Secondary school. If a lens can made of only flat glasses with negative-index material, we may be able to buy a perfect super-fast lens at affordable price? Wink

Putting it simply, they've made micro fresnel lens

I remember seeing the first article from a link here at mflenses -- the limitation then was wavelength-related -- telecom wavelengths are not visible...

Newest development is for UV light, not visible...
