Charles tried repairing the pinholes and one 1/4" hairline hole in the bellows
but it didn't hold. I sent it back to him and he replaced (free of charge) with
new leather bellows:

This is an updated pic he sent me, will go in the mail tomorrow and should have it Thursday.

Better than brand new Wink nice!

It really improves the looks having the new bellows instead of the old
battered one. Can't wait to run a roll thru it.

completely gorgeous, tricked out, vintage fab... and the camera's not bad either Smile

Charles tells me the bellows are NOS Kodak, 50 years old, never used.

I think he did a great job on this.

It's with a heavy heart, but I can no longer recommend this repairman. I've
had problems with the red leather Bessa and sent it back to him twice, and
it still has leaks around the lens where the bellows folds are gapping to the
mounting plate. He has health issues as well, and probably won't be
accepting anyone's work, so this is all a non-issue.

Which leaves me to figure out how to plug those leaks, or find someone
else that can repair this.

Already tried Jurgen Kreckel?
I've got a super performing Bessa I from him. And a complete CLA on a topcon lens.

Jurgen also made disappointment to Bill if I remember as well.

Yes, he was my first disappointment. He assured me bellows were OK, but
there were leaks, and the shutter didn't work. RFF has several "testimonials"
about Jurgen. Also, Abbazz has had negative experiences with him as well.

Two on two?
Have you tried to bring your cameras to a priest for a blessing?

Now there's an idea. I'm not Catholic, though, but my biological mother
was. Wink

Not having seen the problem, I may be just being foolish here, but -

If the problem is gaps on the lens-side mounting plate, it seems to be an easy fix, based on the folders I have worked on.

The usual setup here is a metal plate on the inside of the bellows is held on the front standard by either screws or just by the lens/shutter nut/locking ring. If you have leaks there its probably because the leather is not lying flat enough between the front standard and the plate or its not being "pinched" enough.

The proper fix, probably, is to disassemble that locking plate/front standard connection, fix the leather so it lies flat on the locking plate with no gaps (probably with a bit of cutting, glue, felt, etc.) and reassemble.

Alternately, the quick and dirty method is to hunt for the actual leaky spots and caulk them with some black-colored putty-like substance that doesn't make a big mess. I recommend plumbers putty painted over with black acrylic craft paint.

Luis, I'm going with your quick and dirty idea. There are 4 little triangular
slivers that need to be plugged where the corner fold gaps from the back
plate of the lens assembly. I think he glued this leather bellows to the plate,
but being thicker material than the original cellulose bellows, created this
problem at the corners.

I'm going to try the brush-on liquid electricians tape, comes in red and
black colors, yeah, I'll try the black. Wink

Thanks for the link Paperinik, although hopefully what I plan on doing will
be straightforward without a hitch. But it is nice to know there is someone
else to go to for repairs.

Bill, where do you get the "liquid electricians tape"?

Need to patch a AGFA Record bellows.

I got it at Lowes in the electrical section. Was 6 bucks and some change as
I remember. They only had black, but that was the color I wanted. Wink
