I was able to play with the new "M" on Thursday at the Photokina!

You can see a guy holding the M here:


It feels just like an M9 - of course, it's still an M-Leica!

The frames in the rangefinder (and it still is a typical M-rangefinder!) are projected my LEDs and not mechanically swung in.
Good or bad?
Well, you can switch between red and white frames but there is no longer that useful lever to switch between the frame size on the front any more.

The additional EVF is the same that is used on the X2. It's nice but a tad slow when panning.
I shot with an 1.4/21 on the M and that EVF worked great.

Unfortunately, we were not allowed to put a card inside and take some test shots. It's still a "beta". Wink

Anyway, fantastic cam. And if I had the money, I would buy one.
I could understand myself if I sold all my other gear (NEX, EOS, MCool to get just that one cam!
But, I won't. Wink
