Hello,

I really need help on some quotations.

My boss asked me to sell some of his equipment and I have now at my home this:

Hasseblad X-Pan + 40mm f/4 (just some body marks on the bottom)
Hasselblad 501CM + Back + Waist finder + Planar 80mm f/2.8 + Distagon 50mm f/4 ( Mint )
Contax G2 + Planar 45mm f/2 + Distagon 28mm f/2.8 + Sonnar 90mm f/2.8 + caps + hoods + Contax case
( as NEW - used 2 times)

If someone could help me I'd be glad and if someone is interested send me PM.

Do you mean quotations? As in you need to know how much you should ask for those??

I'll take the entire Contax set for $500. Deal?

It depends on various factors... does the 501CM has the acute matte viewing glass? The lenses are C, CF, CF FLE?

I need an idea of prices for Contax kit. It's hard to me because it is a really amazing kit, as new.

I'll try to get pictures and more details about all equipment. (I'm working and I need some time...)

Hi,

I think you require VALUATIONS not quotations? A quotation would normally be an offer to undertake work or provide specified goods for a particular sum of money - a valuation or appraisal seems more likely?

Not criticizing just hoping to clarify! Smile

In portuguese we could use both forms. I thought that in english I could use them too. Smile

You are right. I only want to know what could be a fair price for each equipment...

You can look them up individually on KEH... select "Contax G series" should give you all of them. But there is no mint G2 body, just EX+ although KEH is very conservative in their ratings.

"Hasseblad X-Pan + 40mm f/4"

Oh, if I only had some money in my budget!!!

My main problem on Contax is that I have to sell the all black kit. 3 lenses + body + flash + case. Everything as new. Used 2 times...

It's hard to get a fair price... :S

Yes, but are you realistic.
I mean the price you quoted me for the x pan is Photo Arsenal level pricing Shocked Shocked

Is that good? I'm not into this "world" of prices. I only have an ideia from individual lenses and from more common ones. This equipment is rare to get here in Portugal and I'd like to know if you could give me an idea from prices that you think are fair.

Between x and x...

Tomorrow I can get pictures from all equipments.

Photo Arsenal has the reputation here of charging ridiculously high prices ... like two or three times the going rate.

PostPosted: Sat Apr 18, 2009 2:33 am    Post subject: Reply with quote

That was no good. To avoid that kind of prices I need your help.

Tomorrow I'll post the pictures...

it is difficult to get pricing from us forum members. We all search the entire internet and will always find below average pricing.

I think you will get a better price if you sell it locally, however, it may take awhile.

Also, don't forget that the demand for these kind of product is limited.

so it is a trade-off ... sell at lower price with chance to sell it faster, or try to maximize your price and it may take a long time to sell the parts.
