I would agree with Peter about Minolta, except for the mount issues. A NEX solves that as does 4/3, but I didn't see that OP has one of those. An M42 mount raises the value of just about all lenses that have other mounts available, and M42 only lenses are higher from the beginning. 51GBP isn't anything to lose sleep over. I've only used Helios, Mamiya Sekor, and Minolta Rokkor lenses in that range and they are all excellent. Oh yeah, I also have a Panagor 55mm Macro and honestly think it's the sharpest of them all.

Mmm...so I understand, lens is good, but price not? Too much? It's a m42 mount in mint condition.
Thanks again.

I had the Super Reflecta 55/1.4 which is the same as the Chinon / Revuenon / Mamiya etc. model. It was useful but not as sharp as the Takumar or Planar 50/1.4 models. It glowed wide open, which may be interesting to some. I have some pictures on here from the Reflecta, use the search function to see the results wide open.

Do a completed listing search on ebay to see latest prices.

let's put this way: auction ended, so it is late to discuss on price (for me it could be not bad depending on actual quality - consider however that the body has a value close to zero).
Regarding actual quality, this thread has mixed reports, so if you have been the lucky winner of the auction, please put some sample here when you receive it, so that some more evidence on Chinon lenses becomes available to forum members.

I've always liked Chinon 50s owning the 1.9, 1.7 and now the proud owner of the 1.4 all in PK mount, two pics for your purusal both shot wide open:

I guess that the chinon lenses are average ones. Average like a good lenses.

Taking, for example, normal lenses (saying 1,7-1,8/50-55mm) I don't see differences among the chinon, mamiya, cosina, ricoh, yashica, sears and fuji lenses. The image taken with them are very good, yes, but the rendering of the lenses are very similar. They configure one standart.

AFAIK, in the 135 mm lenses occur the same thing.

Always speacking about M42 lenses, I find differences when I take a takumar, CZJ, Pentacon, Schneider, Steinheil or some russian lenses. They are above average, for me.

The first group have average lenses. All good ones, yes.

Rino.
