MY diaphragm does not look right at F2, F2.8 etc.
The ends of the diaphragm blades are sticking out a bit, IE not a
Hexagon and I am not sure if this is normal.
My 50mm F1.7 does not look like this.
Can someone please post a pic of their Diaphragm at F2 or F2.8 ??
Thanks |

Dont worry, I know what you mean, it's the same with mine. Between 1.4 and 2.8 it's shitty, especially if you have light sources in the backround, they'll have that shape... I don't understand why it was designed this way. |

Perhaps you can post photos of your diagram? Also,is your lens AE or MM version? Maybe there is a different, I am not sure.
How about the photos taken with the lens? Does it produces anything strange? _________________

Oh yes, the (in)famous jigsaw bokeh!
One of the reasons I don´t love my Zeiss 85/1.4 (C/Y) that much.
That is only with some AE type lenses. The MM and new ZF/ZE lenses seems to have normal iris blades. _________________ Camera modification, repair and DIY - some links to look through: http://www.4photos.de/camera-diy/index-en.html
