While shooting with my Vivitar Series 1 70-210 f/2.8-4 on my Nikon F3HP a few days ago, I noticed that when I'd check the DOF (via the DOF lever on the F3 body), that the lens would not stop-down. I removed the lens from the camera, and noticed that it has oil on the aperature blades. Also, when I work the stop-down lever on the rear of the lens, the blades move VERY slowly or not at-all.
How much of a pain in the arse is it to remove the oil from the aperature blades? If nothing else, I'll just use the lens "as-is" and only shoot at f/2.8. _________________ Dann Fassnacht
