Nobody has yet told me how the original screen comes out of the Pentax K100/ 110?

Here is one pictoral guide to change the focusing screen of a Pentax k100D.

Thanks very much An excellent Link.
As mentioned I don't wish to change my screen but I may be removing my screen to blow some dust from it.
I have had my K100 for over 2 years and it has got a bit dusty up there. I must say I have never had any real sensor dust problems with it, a quick blow about once a month at most.
The camera is now nearing 40,000 exposures. Despit having the K10 it still gets used almost daily. This afternoon it got used for some 3200asa available light shots, The K10 can't do that!

The pictoral guide is quite useful. It is not a daunting task. Need a steady hand and some patience.

The key trick to open the metal frame which holds the screen can be summarized in 3 simple steps:
(1) slide the tips of the tweezer into the gap (see Pictures 6&7 of the guide)
(2) hook the tweezer tips to the metal catch
(3) gently pull the catch to unlock it

A word of caution - Do not let the metal tweezer to touch the screen except the small tab. This is to prevent scratching the screen.

Hope this helps!

For my Pentax *istDS I found an original viewfinder magnifier x1.18, it helps very much! - so I'd think magnifying viewfinder add ons are worth a try.

cheers,
