I saw some excellent scans from this company at NikonCafe and will be using their services as soon as the mailers arrive. This is 35mm

Interesting idea, but is it any good? Here's a simulation:
Ok heres a pic taken with my Nikon D3100 14.2mp 4608x3072px at 300dpi: (shrunk for the forum)
And in detail:
On the left is a detail from a copy shrunk to 1818x1212px at 72dpi (2.2mp) and on the right is in its original format.
I can get similar results at my local ASDA, Tesco or Spielmann's in an hour. _________________ Hero in the 'messin-with-cameras-for-the-hell-of-it department'. Official. |

The scans I saw at NikonCafe are way beyond what I could do with my Epson 4490. Colors and detail are superb but granted, I'm
looking at a 1024pix wide file, which is all I'm after for web use. Their prices beat out both CVS and Walgreens, too. After my last
experience at CVS, have removed their tag from my key chain, and won't be shopping there anymore. I'm boycotting all places that
require a card or tag to shop in their establishments, like Krogers, too. I'll not be judged or trended with such devices.
The person that posted the samples says the film strips are spotless, no artifacts: hairs, dust, scratches, whatsoever. |

Tony, dunno, need to check how much prints are, but will probably use them for that, too, if I have anything print-worthy, (would be
few and far between ). I just like the immediacy and ease where you unlock and download the files in 24 hours, definitely will
work for me. And you still get the immaculate strips to scan at home, if so moved. |

Was wondering when someone would do the math on the deal. Walgreens is right around $10 for 24exp roll with CD. CVS is $6, but
consistently crappy results, not an option. I have a lot of KG100 and 400 in 24exp, so it still beats CVS. |

Very good point as often I make two separate trips since I'm not going to wait around 1-2 hours for them to get the film done. |

An update: using them just for processing where they send the negs back to you is the best option. Making a DVD archive plus shipping

They send the negs back in a box within a box as pictured here:
The DVD is sent separately in it's own secured container:
Unfortunately, I cannot download the contents from the DVD, get a warning that the file may be corrupted, or format is one that Windows doesn't recognize, is pretty much a coaster for iced drinks till sussed out. The downloadable thumbnails are 470pix across, some samples, yes framed on a boring rainy day:
