Are you as I've just become; annoyed standing in the street fiddling with one adaptor and two lenses?

Just ordered a new batch for my Canon body.

the most clever system is olympus
the adapter stay on the body and you push a button on the lens to free it
if only those oly was little better optically they would be the perfect solution

a yashica contax adapter must be tweaked to stay secure (Orio 135:2 experience),
after tweak difficult to remove so better not to try on street

m42 is not practical to unscrew, price of adapter is logical so better have 2 or 3

Lucky you have Canon camera. M42->EOS adapters are dirt cheap. Buy a handful and you will be fine. Of course if you are using M42 lenses. Even Nikon, CY, or Olympus OM to EOS adapters are not expensive.
I think any serious MF lens users should have Canon body Cool
A friend of mine has Nikkon body. She wasn't happy when I said she can only use Nikkor or expensive Leica Laughing

There's also the Tamron lenses and most of the Soviet lenses...

Although this is true I find that there are a lot of lenses that do not offer these interchangable mounts that I want to try out.

Depending on how many lenses I have at any one time I really see the adaptors as a necessary option, much like you need to pay for the shipping cost, the cost of an adapter should also be included in the budget of a lens purchase.
But, I don't see myself carry much more than perhaps 6 lenses (unless running a specific test or something similar). This number indicates a limit of how many adaptors I would need when I go out to shoot some pictures.

This is at least my new tactic Very Happy

esrods
You an use most of the med format lenses on the nikon. I use a bunch for the Pentacon 6 including the Sonnar 2,8/180. Am still looking for the Vega 12 which shows such great results for Laurence. Adapters also available for Pentax, Hassie etc.
