My first analog test with my Minolta

Scanned with OpticFilm 7400 and SilverFast 8

Very nice indeed. Ektar certainly gives a warm glow to the colours.

What were your feelings about using the camera and lens?

I was surprised how easy it is to fosus manual. With my digital cameras is that not always so easy.
The lens is build great, just as one would expect of the lenses from the 70s.

Very good...one day I'll will have to try Ektar, but have just bought 40 rolls of Kodak Gold so it might be a while Wink

Manual focus on an old SLR is so easy isn't it? Those old viewfinders were so big and bright.

Whoa! I thought the last pic in your first post was interesting, and then you pop this one! The colors are superb, and Ektar is cheaper than mild hallucinogens Laughing

congrats! really nice series. and your scanning came out great, really captured the uniqeness of ektar.

you know, ektar prints are awesome as well. you may want to give that a whirl soemtime, i think you will be very pleased.
