Anybody interested in this lense should go and look at a collection of photos that yoyo31 from Taiwan took with this lense and the Canon 5D Mark II. Full exif-data, lots of pictures from night-markets, portraits too:

Replies are:- "great lens" and so on, but doesn't the digital camera body have something to do with it?

Yes, but Priomoplan has very strong character, which leaves its fingerprint on the picture independently on camera.

Anyway, large sensors always helps to bokeh Smile

Very impressive pictures, I really like the market shots.

Can anyone tell me what "Sharpness 5" in the data signifies - Not having a Canon, I don't "speak Canon" I regret to say. Does that mean it's a high level of in-camera sharpening to a JPEG file. or a modest level?

The portraits are pretty good too!

Oh man, I want a full frame so badly... some day Crying or Very sad When will the a850 reach the €1000 mark?

Very nice photos and very funny swirly bokeh, that swirl gets so abundant with such a large sensor. That shallow dof with a normal field of view is such a dreamy thing... Surprised

This amazing lens is also good for a nice 3D effect:

I believe that is the setting of canon dpp (Digital Photo Professional).
Users can adjust contrast, color tone, saturation and sharpness from 0-10.

5 is the standard setting. Max is 10.
So I would say it's an average level.
