Meyer Görlitz Primomplan V 58/1.9 ΔS M42

model: alu, V, "S" in triangle

condition: Lens was professinally serviced (cleaned, relubed and adjusted), both rings works very smooth nad precise (no slackness), infinity focus is exact. The lens will serve for many years without need of servicing/relubing.

OPTICS: No fungus, no scratches a few minor cleaning marks on coating, which doesn't affect contrast or overall performance, typical for many Meyer V-coated lenses

MECHANICS: MINT, smooth focusing, smooth aperture ring, aperture is perfectly clean and symmetric, infinity focus is exact, filter ring is in great condition, no dings or dents

COSMETICS: typical signs of oxidation on alu barrel, no signs of abuse, no dents

f/1.9, 100% crop, no sharpening




Lens is sharper in center than Biotar 58/2, corners are softer. It has also lower axial CA than Biotar or other sub f/2 lenses. Perfect for flowers and portraits.

This is a fine piece of glass. Really good and with a very special character. I like my copy a lot!

Its bokeh and character drives me crazy. Such a lovely lens !
Sad thing it has been discontinued in early 60's.



Unfortunately, I have to makes some priorities. Crying or Very sad

I love Primoplan bokeh. I have two 58/1.9, which I'll keep. Primoplan is for me an unique bokeh lens like Volna-9, Trioplans or maybe Meogon (old enlarger lens which is perfect for macro work). It's not posible to replace it by other product and retain it's character.
