This was my 'Wedding Camera' for many years since late 1980's and I had no trouble with 'manual Focus' as that is all I ever had!

I remember times, where you had no other choice shooting with MF glasses! Friends

I was using for it an ROLLEIFLEX SL66, an 6x6 WIESE PENTASIX 636, and a CONTAX 645 AF! NO SWEAT!

Bit of a strange read for an old medium format wedding "photographer".
The waist level finder and it's magnifier were sufficiently fast enough for me, and I did not waste much film with OOF shots.

An old pro told me to use enough flash~ following that advice sure saved me a lot of grief.

Sorry to resurrect something this old- I was actually in here looking for something else Wink

Shooting a wedding with MF is a great learning exercise - especially at f1.4. Whether or not your customers want to be guinea-pigs is another question! Looks like you did great though.

I have my niece wedding this year, they do have their own photographer but I'll be happy to take some shots for myself . I understand that it would be better to have 2 cameras , well I do have the Sony 7II and 6000, both with kit zoom. But I would definitely use film also 80mm focal length medium format. I am not used to these kind of events, I enjoy shooting individual and small group portraits. I'm not afraid to use MF lenses over af (in my case these are unpredictable, probably because I might need a better prime), but I'm not aware what focal length would I need on the digital body for this kind of events? I do have plenty of MF lenses to choose from, In last case maybe it would be smarter to borrow a good digital lens. No pictures allowed to be taken inside the church ceremony, otoh the event will take place in a very large open area , so a lens wider than 28mm I don't think it would be necessary.
