Hi all,

I've got a Zeiss Jena 35mm 2.4 that has its aperture all seized up and is stuck wide open, the focus ring has become stiff through years of little/no use. Can anyone recommend a decent (independent?) lens repairer who can sort this sort of issue? I'd love to stick it on the front of my Sony A7 and see what it can produce.

http://www.newtonellis.com/

I know a few of the dealers that get to the camera fair use Newton & Ellis in Liverpool, so I guess they must be OK.

Thanks for the tip. I've just spent the last hour following this guide to great effect: http://www.kolumbus.fi/uusilehto/img/lenses/zeiss/disass/index.html

I've got the aperture working again, but for how long... who knows!

The aperture on mine often sticks, my way around it is to always store it at f22.

I have two of them, both have(had) stuck aperture so I'm certain it's a common fault. Thankfully, and fingers crossed, the Zeiss 135/3.5 I've got hasn't suffered from it yet. I'll be keeping them at f22 when not in use - thanks!
