Hi, hope you like some of these. No PP - since Calgary has no local E6 or 120 developing anymore, these were sent out for development from the local store I get my C41's done, but all were scanned by myself (their Noritsu scanner gave terrible results - full of spots).
C&C welcome please. Thanks for viewing.
#1 - Kodak Tmax-400, Mamiya 6 with 150mm - f5.6. It took forever to get this shot as the hawk just would not turn for a profile shot.
(#2 - #5 were shot using Fuji Velvia 100 (RVP100))
#2 - a beautiful day but behind me a major storm was brewing (50mm @ f8 I think)
#3 - ok, so now I realize a bad storm is about to hit...this is the light at 4pm, early September. (75mm @ f8 ). Within 15 minutes of this, you couldn't see a thing. Dust everywhere, 150kph gusts (or so I was told afterwards). I ended up sheltering the car in a gulley and sat there as it rocked and was sand-blasted. The paintwork was wrecked.
#4 - more weird light: the wheat stubble really was red, but maybe the Velvia has accentuated that somewhat. Most of that cloud is actually dust, and it was still only about 6:30pm. (50mm @ f11)
#5 - my favourite. On the drive back into town, the sun finally reappeared under the passing storm clouds and I managed to get this (50mm @ f8 or f11). By the time I got back into Calgary, 2000 homes had lost power and people were injured. No-one died thankfully, this time.

Ohhh, gorgeous colors on #3. On #5 as well, but it really begs for something in the lower part of the picture. Have you considered just cropping the bottom out? _________________ Many lenses and some film bodies for sale here: http://forum.mflenses.com/canon-fd-minolta-md-c-mounts-m42-pentax-and-more-t50465.html

Thankyou Fermy.
Yes, I did consider cropping but wasn't too sure just how far to go. I wanted something in the foreground to silhouette against the sky, but there was nothing immediately available - as is always the way in the empty prairie.
Is this too much?

Beautiful pictures!
For me #5 should be half between both versions.
Must have been a terrifying event. Sorry for the paint of your car. |

I would have cropped #5 even more, leaving only about 1mm of black on the bottom. _________________ Many lenses and some film bodies for sale here: http://forum.mflenses.com/canon-fd-minolta-md-c-mounts-m42-pentax-and-more-t50465.html
